
Internet video giant YouTube recently announced that there going to be launching original channels in the coming months as part of a $100 million investment in expanding Google's already looming video presence.
The first original channel was launched over the weekend, and it targets the Hispanic audience. ClevverTeVe, the product of Clevver Media, launched three Spanish-language programs, all focusing on celebrity and entertainment news. Teve Hollywood, and Radar Latino will run daily news coverage from Hollywood, and Teve Moda will run twice a week and feature celebrity fashion. Two English language Clevver channels, ClevverNews and ClevverStyle, are expected to follow soon.
Clevver co-founder Jorge Maldonado said, in a statement:
"The YouTube original channels initiative will also enable us to expand our international reach. Our new ClevverTeVe channel is designed to tap into the rapidly growing Latino market, hungry for high quality and up-to-date entertainment news content."
